A Green Health Working Group has been set up at Withybush Hospital in Pembrokeshire to improve green spaces for the benefit of staff, patients and visitors and the natural living environment. We are currently working with local partners to develop two key areas at the hospital: a small inner courtyard and a derelict area adjacent to the main hospital building. There are also plans to improve an area at the front of the site by planting additional trees.
There are additional projects underway as part of our Transforming Mental Health Services programme to incorporate and improve green spaces in the refurbishment or development of new mental health facilities.
