Who is the ranger?

Our ranger based in Bradford is Ella Dixon.

Which sites are covered?

Ella is hosted by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. The trust joined the Healthy by Nature project in April 2026.

What are the plans for the different sites?

There are a few potential site developments to work on alongside the gardening team. Ella wants to make a butterfly shape on the lawn made out of wildflower plug plants grown by patients, planting more fruit trees and bushes, potential coppice work, bee hives and more! She also hopes there is potential for bringing back gardening and nature activities onto the wards regularly. Lastly, she is looking into VR headsets and audio walks and how they can be used for patients on the wards.
