Dr Dilraj Sokhi, Consultant Neurologist at Sheffield Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, left the trust after over a decade’s service and to mark the occasion will be planting 300 trees on behalf of the Trust as part of the NHS Forest. The trees were generously sponsored by The Great Outdoor Gym Company who have created a number of woodlands across our NHS Forest sites.
The trees were planted on 6 February 2016 at Sky Edge, Sheffield City council’s land. It is hoped that the local GP surgeries will benefit from the tree planting and be able to encourage their patients to enjoy walks through the woodland.
A further 100 trees were planted in 2018, also sponsored by The Great Outdoor Gym Company, during an NHS Forest tree planting day with students from Sheffield College’s land and environment course.
