Royal Glamorgan Hospital joined the NHS Forest in November 2021. The site’s green space includes planted mixed woodland dividing hard-standing car park areas, interspersed with ‘no-mow’ meadow grass areas, therapeutic courtyard gardens and hedgerows surrounding the site buildings. In 2022 they planted 15 NHS Forest trees and in 2024 they planted an additional 30 trees.
