The team have created include bug hotels, meadow areas, vegetable patches. There is also a stroke rehabilitation garden, and wellbeing spaces for patients, visitors and staff.
The staff at Maidstone Hospital strongly believe in a sustainable environment for all to enjoy, and have worked closely with Kent Wildlife Trust consultancy to improve the green spaces on this site.
In late 2023 they planted 100 NHS Forest trees paid for by the Nature for Climate fund.
