Lynfield Mount Hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2020 and planted 198 trees sponsored by the government’s Green Recovery Challenge Fund. In 2024 410 trees were planted between Waddiloves Health Centre and Lynfield Mount Hospital.

As well as the tree planting they also have a therapy garden and another garden at the service user cafe where they carry out gardening with their service users.

They have walking groups and encourage other nature-related sessions such as bird box decorating and a nature virtual reality programme.

They recently opened a Seed Library within the hospital library, and are trialling a flash card nature system to increase contact with nature amongst their service users.
