Huddersfield Royal Infirmary joined the NHS Forest in 2024. They have multiple green spaces on their site including a wellbeing/sensory garden which has walkways through it with activity areas for yoga. There are multiple wildflower meadows. They have around 200 metres of mixed hedging with native species and fruit trees for birds as well as a pond that is inhabited by frogs. There is lots of woodland and plenty of grass areas. They have memorial gardens which are little paved courtyards with shrub beds. The grounds staff have also propagated trees to give to staff and visitors for certain events such as clean air day.
