Freeman Hospital’s services are advanced and patient focused and include hip and knee replacement, kidney and heart related care. The hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2014 taking part in NHS Sustainability Day tree planting.

100 trees, donated by The Great Outdoor Gym Company, were planted at the hospital in 2019.

In June 2019, the hospital declared a Climate Emergency. Watch this short report from Channel 4 News on how the hospital is going to reduce its carbon footprint, It also mentions the 100 NHS Forest trees sponsored by The Great Outdoor Gym Company.

In 2020, the hospital planted 50 trees that were sponsored by green search engine Ecosia.
