Castle Hill Hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2022. This rural Yorkshire site is fortunate in having a good tree stock and numerous green spaces accessible to patients and staff.

There are have site walks and a walking group to encourage staff to use the spaces. Areas are available for patients and staff to stop or have lunch on benches and tables.

In 2022, with the help of local school children, they planted 1000 trees around the site.

They also have a solar farm, where they graze a flock of 51 sheep.
