South Bristol Community Hospital has joined the NHS Forest. As part of the development of the new hospital, 71 trees were planted around the perimeter of the hospital and in the patient garden, including a wide variety of species. The trees include varieties of multi stems, single stems and evergreens, so the hospital will be surrounded with an element of nature all year round.
South Bristol Community Hospital will make a lasting contribution to the healthcare of people in South Bristol and will help to avoid many journeys into city centre hospitals. The hospital opened in April 2012.
