The NHS Forest now has now registered over 90 NHS Forest sites that have planted trees since 2009. The 2011-12 tree planting season was particularly busy, with many sites taking part in tree planting as part of the NHS Sustainability Day of Action.
University Hospital, Coventry has now planted over 1,000 trees, while NHS Forest Cornwall has been encouraging secondary school children to plant trees for the project. In Essex, Broomfield Hospital has engaged with teenagers from LOTA Training, and Essex County Council Training standards officers are managing the existing growth and planting more trees.
