Partner with the NHS Forest – corporate social responsibility
Support the NHS Forest with corporate social responsibility (CSR) sponsorship and bring life to healthcare sites across the UK, making them healthier for people and planet.
Green spaces on healthcare sites are a proven, cost-effective way to reduce stress, improve recovery and support staff wellbeing and retention. Every day, thousands of NHS staff and patients spend time in healthcare environments where green spaces are underused, inaccessible or just don’t exist at all.
By partnering with us, your organisation can help transform these spaces to build stronger, healthier and more sustainable communities. The NHS Forest is an impactful and reliable charitable partner, delivering real change on the NHS estate.
- Our programme has been successfully running since 2009
- Nearly 500 registered NHS Forest sites across the UK
- Nearly 160,000 trees planted on healthcare sites since our programme began
- See our list of current sponsors
See below for examples of how far your support could go (click on the cross to read more).
Your sponsorship of £5,000 could fund the planting of over 500 new trees at or near healthcare sites, through providing fully funded tree bundles to NHS sites in the UK. Each bundle has been designed to provide a variety of benefits, such as attracting wildlife or providing spring colour, and contain a mix of species suitable for almost any location.
A sponsorship of £10,000 could enable the creation of a Pocket Forest at or near a UK healthcare site. Pocket Forests include over 1,200 trees of various species selected to compliment local ecology, help mitigate impacts of climate change and create valuable green spaces for wildlife and people. Our team will source and select a location to maximise Tree Equity and biodiversity impacts as well as providing planting and management support.
This could fund the planting of over 800 orchard trees across 40 sites. Orchards are in high demand at our sites due to their positive impacts on biodiversity and staff and patient health. We have also found that establishing orchards is one of the most effective way to maximise benefits of green space, creating wildlife habitats and opportunities for staff, patients and the community to connect with nature through planting, management and food growing.Without a doubt, tree planting is a big part of our work, but there are lots of other exciting projects we’d love to discuss with you too. Why green spaces on healthcare sites matter?

- Stress reduction and mental wellbeing for staff and patients
- Improved patient recovery times and reduced need for painkillers
- Biodiversity and climate resilience on NHS land
- Alignment with NHS sustainability and net zero goals

What impact will your support have?
Your sponsorship will help to create or improve green spaces on healthcare sites across the UK. Each green space will support staff wellbeing and patient recovery as well as improving biodiversity and climate action in healthcare settings. Whether you are a large national organisation or a growing business, partnering with the NHS Forest offers a practical, credible way to support health, wellbeing and nature through your corporate social responsibility and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments.
Whenever possible we work with healthcare sites who have the greatest need for our support and are keen to be part of the NHS Forest. This means the sites we work with change from year to year.
Without a doubt, tree planting is a big part of our work, but there are lots of other exciting projects we’d love to discuss with you too.
