Who is the ranger?

Our ranger in Nottinghamshire is Lucy. Find out more about Lucy and her work.

Which sites are covered?

Lucy is hosted by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Her main sites are Hopewood, Blossomwood and Sherwood Oaks.

What are the plans for the different sites?

There are three main projects for the ranger to get stuck into developing and constructing communal allotment gardens and wildlife spaces. The plan is to create a programme of activities alongside the construction. There has also been some consultation with patients, staff and families and there are plans for growing spaces, nature-based features and sensory gardens. The intention is to make these as good as possible for long term use. The ranger hopes to bring in some creativity to the spaces with features that evoke curiosity and imagination, made from natural materials where possible to broaden the opportunities to engage with the outdoor spaces and nature.
