This form is for expressions of interest in planting upwards of 300 trees. For smaller NHS Forest tree orders, please visit the tree bundle or orchard pages. We are only able to supply trees to NHS sites in England at this time. Please ensure you have consulted with relevant teams within your organisation to ensure you are able to plant trees on your site. We aim to supply trees to all sites in England that request them. Trees will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. We hope to offer trees to sites outside of England in the future. If you have any questions, please email info@nhsforest.org

A Tiny Forest is a specific planting technique where around 600 trees are densely planted to cover around 250 square metres.

Can NHS Forest support hedge planting?

Much of our work is focused on tree planting as our funding is subject to restrictions around the proportion of shrubs that can be included. As such we typically recommend applicants plant groups of trees wherever practicable to deliver the many benefits of increased canopy in healthcare settings.

However we do understand that hedging may be appropriate for some sites and is itself a valuable asset for biodiversity, and to this end we may be able to include hedging as part of our tree offer:

We will endeavour to facilitate as much hedgerow planting as we can within the scope of our grant, but with a view to extending this offer to as many applicants as possible we will prioritise schemes incorporating with up to 40% hedging (number of plants). Applications exceeding this threshold will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
