Green Space/Conservation Volunteers Required
Kent and Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust
South East
01/08/2024 onwards, Times are flexible but will be Mon-Fri during work hours
We have a variety of green spaces all across Kent. Some spaces are large, some are small. Activities will depend on your interests – it could be ‘traditional’ gardening (planting fruit and veg, flowers, etc) or it could be working with animals, or maybe you could help us develop our new Wildlife Space. The full range of activities can be expected, depending on the time of year – weeding, planting, improving wildlife habitats, cultivating, construction activities (creating habitats, or woodwork such as birdboxes, etc).
We also offer corporate volunteering events for you and your team. These activities can be tailored to your preferences and experience, and you could be working with our Charities Team.
Whatever it is you do, you can be sure that your help will bring joy and lasting memories to our patients who use our green spaces as somewhere to relax, as a space for therapeutic activities, and to enjoy peaceful time in nature.
You will be required to provide two references and we will do a DBS check. You must be at least 18 years of age. We are a mental health NHS Trust and so you will need to be patient, understanding, and non-judgemental. In return we offer training, support, and travel expenses.
