Thurrock Hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2010 and planted two trees at 2 o’clock as part of NHS Sustainability Day 2014.
Chief Executive, Sally Morris, planted the trees as part of the hospital’s commitment to greening the NHS estate and improving the environment for its patients, staff and communities.
The trust is developing a green space action plan as part of the next iteration of its green plan in 2025. At the moment individual wards develop their own patient facing green spaces, including allotments and gardens.
