Queen’s Hospital is lucky to benefit from different types of green space – from formal planting within flower beds spread around site to areas that have been left to develop in their natural way. The site sits within the National Forest area, and there is a consequent culture of tree planting at this site – which included the development of Badgers Wood a number of years ago and regular planting in open spaces around the site. It joined the NHS Forest in 2022.
