Chesterfield Royal Hospital is a medium sized hospital providing acute services including Accident and Emergency and specialist children’s services. The hospital joined the NHS Forest in 2011 when it planted 300 trees sponsored by Baxter Healthcare.

Staff and patients benefit from newly designed areas within the hospital grounds for rest and relaxation. Chesterfield has upgraded and landscaped its many courtyard areas, gardens and grounds throughout the site by planting trees and other plants and installing benches and sculptures. The hospital is fortunate to be surrounded by green space and Derbyshire scenery.
