A new report, The Adult Health and Social Care Crisis – Green Infrastructure as Part of the Solution, has been published in October 2017 in a special Green Infrastructure edition of Town & Country Planning, the journal of the TCPA.
In the piece, the NHS Forest’s Ben Williams argues the case for a shift in thinking in the public sector away from green space as a burden on an increasingly pressured public purse, towards embracing its potential as an integral part of the solution.
With a growing and ageing population, local authorities and NHS organisations should look to nature as much as the consulting room as a vehicle for promoting wellbeing and reducing the financial costs of adult health and social care.
