Latest Updates: SCAS continuing to plant the NHS Forest
South Central Ambulance Service has won the most innovative site award at the NHS Forest Conference 2015 for engaging with their health professionals and planting trees innovative ways despite not having huge grounds to do so.
March 2014: Happy to be supporting NHS Sustainability Day on 27th March planting the last set of current trees at our Driving Standards Agency, based at Newbury Rugby Club.
February 2014: Four more SCAS sites are now boasting new trees, and you can see SCAS employees taking part in the second round of planting above. One of these is the new Northarbour Resource Centre in Portsmouth, where they have planted four new trees – one to represent each of the four stations that are moving into the new centre. SCAS Green Team Champions continue to lead the charge, but if you’d like more information contact our Green Team Coordinator Brian Miller.
December 2013: We’ve been bust planting trees at the first four chosen locations in the South Central estate with Adderbury, Kidlington, Reading and Ringwood the first to get involved. More sites will follow over the coming months…
If you would like to add a tree to any of the SCAS locations in the NHS Forest, simply select ‘sponsor a tree’, and select ‘South Central Ambulance Service’ from the list of available locations. Then simply pop your chosen station into the comments field at the checkout. We can then make sure your tree is planted at the right location. Thank you for your continued support.
SCAS operates from various sites across the South Central region including Aylesbury, Banbury, Basingstoke, Bicester, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Milton Keynes, Newbury, Otterbourne, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, Slough, Southampton, Winchester & Eastleigh.
South Central Ambulance became site of the month in September 2015.
