BTCV

The BTCV charity was set up in 1959, and has a successful history of environmental conservation volunteering throughout the UK and around the world.

Working with and supporting BTCV can be a rewarding experience for corporate partners, the Government, Big Lottery Fund, local authorities, government agencies such as English Nature and individual donors.

England’s Community Forests

The Community Forest programme was established in 1990 by the then Countryside Commission as a pilot project to demonstrate the potential contribution of environmental improvement to economic and social regeneration. The three initial pilots quickly grew to a national programme, which made use of broad-based partnerships to pioneer activity and deliver lasting change.

Forest Research

Forest Research are one of the world's leading centres of research into woodlands and forestry. They aim to provide research services relevant to UK and international forestry interests and inform and support forestry's contribution to UK governmental policies. Their core roles are to provide the evidence base for UK forestry practices and to support innovation.

Forestry Commission

Our forests and woods can contribute so much to our nation. We deliver practical programmes to make sure that, as communities and individuals, we can get the most from them.

We are constantly looking for ways to share our knowledge, plan activities and develop new initiatives to provide benefits for the economy and for our health and wellbeing.

Green Light Trust

The Green Light Trust has been working in environmental and social change for 20 years. We have a long-term relationship with remote rainforest dwellers in Papua New Guinea. The aim of our work both there and in the UK is to empower individuals, communities and businesses to make informed choices of how to live and work in balance with nature.

Natural England

Natural England is here to conserve and enhance the natural environment, for its intrinsic value, the wellbeing and enjoyment of people and the economic prosperity that it brings.

Small Woods Association

The main aim is the sustainable management of woodland. As for new planting, SWA provides information to owners and managers who are planting new woodland on all types of land, whilst encouraging them to think through the long term sustainable management of those trees, whether it is for biodiversity, public access, recreation or wood/timber products.

Tree Council

"The Tree Council is the UK's lead charity for trees, promoting their importance in a changing environment.

We work in partnership with communities, organisations and government to make trees matter to everyone."

Woodland Trust

Founded in 1972, the Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity and relies on the support of its many members and other supporters to continue its work.
