NHS Kent and Medway are planning a planting day to launch their woodland site
The largest NHS Forest site in the country is planning a planting day to officially launch its woodland site. The NHS Kent and Medway site at West Farleigh, Maidstone, already has 3,500 trees but a push is now on with NHS staff across the county of Kent to encourage them to sponsor more.
NHS Forest and Local Nature Partnerships
The NHS Forest project team is really excited about Local Nature Partnerships and I am on the board of our local one in Oxfordshire. They provide a great opportunity for NHS Forest sites to link up with other areas of greenspace in their locality to create health walks for patients and staff to use. A number of our NHS Forest sites are members of their local LNP, helping to link health and the environment sectors in practical ways; if you are involved in your local LNP, do get in touch, let us know how its going and how we can help!

Forest News - how many trees have you planted so far?
The current tree count is 16,768, fantastic work but there are even more trees in the ground that still need to be registered, so please update your tree counter to help us reach our target of 1.3 million trees. Do share any seasonal activites you may be up to at your NHS Forest.
