Welcome to the eleventh edition of the NHS Forest newsletter from the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare for an update on news, events and resources to help you with planting the NHS Forest: growing forests for health. To find out more visit www.nhsforest.org


The NHS Forest now has over 90 sites that have planted trees!

    

The NHS Forest now has over 90 sites registered with the project that have planted trees since 2009. The 2011/12 tree planting season was particularly busy with many sites taking part in, for example, '2 trees at 2pm' for the NHS Sustainability Day of Action.  For more information of all our sites please see www.nhsforest.org/map. Bradford Works- offers grounds maintenance and landscape management in West Yorkshire

 

Bradford Works is a partnership-based social enterprise offering quality grounds maintenance and landscape management services within West Yorkshire.

Staffed by qualified and experienced horticulture specialists, the project works with partners to identify and train local unemployed people, then set them to work alongside the professionals for a decent wage and top-class experience.  Do let me know if your NHS site would be interested in working with Bradford Works.

Forest News - how many trees have you planted so far?

The current tree count is 16,259, fantastic work but there are even more trees in the ground that still need to be registered, so please update your tree counter to help us reach our target of 1.3 million trees. Do share any seasonal activites you may be up to at your NHS Forest.
