Children from local schools plant trees at Horton General Hospital
Published by sarah on Sun, 2013-03-17 20:54Children from Bardwell's School council and Year 5 at Longfields Primary School braved the cold weather to plant 18 lime trees as part of the NHS Forest at the Horton hospital. The children took part in digging the hole, preparing the ground with bark cuttings and fixing the ties on the trees. Each child had a tree named after them. Children also took part in a site quiz and learnt lots of interesting tree facts. A good morning was had by all.
