Fantastic workshop in Cambridge engaging with health and green space professionals

CSH, in conjunction with the Ecosystems Knowledge Network and Cambridgeshire Nature Partnership, ran a really successful workshop bringing together healthcare professionals in Cambridgeshire and leaders of green space projects. The aim was to encourage more people to use green space projects to improve their health.

The workshop was broken down into a morning session involving the heatlh sector local to Cambridgeshire and an afternoon including green space professionals in the surrounding area. Speakers included: Dan Bloomfield (Dose of Nature, Exeter University), Vicky Head (Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group) and Shaun Birdsall (Health Improvement Specialist Cambridgeshire County Council).

The day included discussing the health priorities of the local area, the evidence base for green space projects and how to measure the health outcomes followed by a dragon's den exercise where green space projects presented their ideas to healthcare professionals. For more information and if you would like to run a similar workshop in your area please contact the CSH team.
